My Reflection

I have been learning to relate to the characters in the text.

We have been reading George's Marvellous medicine.

I thought of some words to discribe  grandma from what I learnt about her in the story.

I found this tricky because some times I get it but some times I don't get it.

My next step is to write a paragraph discribing grandma using these words.

Identify different types of words.

My reflection

I have been learning to identify nouns, verbs and adjectives.

A noun is a person, thing or a place like our school thats a place and my name Ridwan thats a person and lastly a ball thats a thing.

My next step is to learn about nouns and I need to work even better than this one that I did today.

 

All about Insects

My Reflection

I found this work interesting because it was factual and it taught me a lot about insects and I learnt new things about it.

I would have liked to do more research about insects and come up with more ideas for my time to make a slide show about insects

The best part of this is going to the library to find books and learn about insects and what they normally do.

My next step is to come up with more ideas and practise skimming and scanning.Also continue reading more books.

My Certificate

I  got this certificate for great attitude to learning and listening to instructions. I got it from the assembly and I think I deserved because I was doing it without my teacher telling me to do it .

Roald Dahl/Little red riding hood

My reflection

This week we are reading Roald Dahl stories because it was Roald Dahl Day on 13th September.   We watched a poem from Revolting Rhymes today called Little Red Riding Hood and the Wolf.  We compared this with the original story.  I enjoyed it even more than the original one.  It was better then the other ones and little red riding hood is not suppose to not have a GUN! also a fur of wolfs skin.

Daffodil Diamante Poem

                   

Reflection 

I have been learning to  write  a diamante  poem. It was easy because you just needed to put  one photo or two if you want to do that and I was doing two photos instead of one because I wanted to do different colours of the outside.  I Wrote Beautiful, Gentle, Blossoming, Drinking, Shining, and a sentence also the same thing with different words.  My next step is to try and write an antonym diamante poem

Reflection 

I was learning to finish this logic+reasoning puzzle and it was a hard one that I have not done before.   It took me 20 min to do this logic+reasoning puzzle.

Next time I should do another hard one then I know all of them then I could just know them of my heart.

Making Connections

Quaky Cat Te-Tuhi

Reflection

We went to te-tuhi and we did drama and art.  We had a play at Te-Tuhi and then we built the story on paper but your only aloud 4 things on the piece of paper.  I put tiger, blocks, tree and the city.

For the high jump: Logic and Reasoning

Reflection

I was learning to do logic+Reasoning to do this logic puzzle and I had to colour it in. The yellow colour means its not true and the blue colour means it is true. The clues that are there that helped me finish it quickly and this logic puzzle was a medium puzzle.  It helped me with my inferencing and knowing it even better. 

Next step I should do another one so I can get even better at it and I  will do a hard one next time so When I want to do a hard one then i could do faster than before and when I know it better than last time than I will be very,very good at it.

Counting On

My Volcano landscape Art

†his is my  Volcano Landscape Art and I have a little Volcano and a Big Volcano and 1 hill on the side and i enjoyed doing it and and it is a good  technique  for us to make the Volcano black instead of other colours.  We were learning how to apply paint.  We learnt two techniques, dabbing with a sponge and dragging with carboard.

Te Tuhi Art-My Dream House

 †his is my dream house and it is a Rocket that can survive any time I use it and I call it DragonSlayer.  We used triangles to create our dream houses.  

Fractions of a Set

I was learning how to do a unit fraction.  I thought it was easy because I just turned it into a division problem.  I know my basic facts really well and that helped me find the answer.  My next step is to solve more problems with fractions.

Understanding a Character's Impact

        Leslie Burke       1968-1978
     Leslie grew up in washington and later she moved to Lark creek with her parents Bill and Judy Burke.  she was talented at creative writing also running.Leslie became the 5th grade at Lark creek elementary.  She was friendly,polite,creative and funny.

If it been for Leslie,  Janice. avery wouldn't have stopped bullying Leslie stood up to herself and then wrote a note and Leslie told her something instead of bullying people. 

Leslie will be remembered for her kindness and standing up for herself.

                                                           Reflection

I was learning to understand the character's impact.  It was hard to find the changes in Jess.  It was hard because I couldn't remember most of the chapters.  Next time I could keep notes as we read.

I got it because i was on mathletics and i got 1 out of bronze ones. Then i got 1 out of 1 of my silvers.  I knew that i got and i think thats why i got it i think.  I never had a gold one i think i will get in a couple of days when its 2015 because i really want one so i can show my Dad,Mum,Sister and Brother Yay!.

I think i did well because i was doing my best i can.Then i think and think for ages then i found ideas  then i was doing well that time and then i was ok with it.

Put more ideas in it and  and try to put efort and put more stuff in the Venn  diagram.

I  found this easy because we just needed to write about our story.  I think my story was in the right order.

I got a lot better  when  I was on the computer part because  it was easier and easier.  Then I  had to draw a picture after that it was easy.

My Next step is to...

I will think well next time and improve my work and get some more efort  in it so i can do well then last time.

Making and Breaking Numbers

I was learning that numbers can be made and broken up in a number of different ways.


I found it intresting because  you can use anything to do like multyplycation,plus take away and division.

Try make  it harder and try put more efort in it so i can make it better than my first one.

My Did you ever poem

I was learning my Did You Ever Poem.  I felt a little bit tricky about my learning because i didn't
know witch way to do the writing down.


Why did i get it tricky?  I think i was not concertrating the way how other people are do there work.  I had a little bit of trouble thinking about a noun and a verb was.
