My Fairy tale

On my fairy tale I had to write about a fairy tale but made up so I made the three wolves and big bad pig and I made it different so it's like the three little pig's and the big bad wolf and the pig's making house's and I made it the wolves making house's and the pig being bad.  So I turned the story around you see the wolve is surposed to be the bad guy but the pig is and there are three wolves and they are good not bad good like the three little pig's.

On this project I had to roll a dice and see the propability of rolling a 6 and my anwser was 1/6 because it is unlikey to roll a 6 because its only likely to roll 5,4,3 and 2 so 1 is also unlikely to get because it is 1/1 of every thing is likely to get because there is only one of every number.

Ways People speak

                         

When me and Mauriora and Johnny was thinking of some words instead of said from L-R-R-H we got Called Replied Reply Spoke and Cried then we were typing up five words up on the dictionary and explain those words.

Next we had to read a book and see if any words instead said on the book pinocchio and we found some words instead of said that was: Chuckled lied cried yelled told shouted demanded thats what we got.

Lastly we had to do the worksheet and I helped puting on the sentences on the google slide and I Mauriora was doing all the words instead of said.

Te Tuhi Collage

My Reflection

learning to make a collage.  There are different types of collages there is a normal collage a 3D collage and a digital collage. The first thing we did was to put ripped pieces on our piece of paper and you had to have to choose three different pieces of coloured ripped paper on our paper. The second step was to put on this blue carbon paper on our paper and trace the picture on our paper and only draw three pictured pieces on our paper.  The final step is to cut out pictures that you want and your only supposed to put three pictures on your paper.

Swimming Dolphins

When we were doing swimming we were doing some diving and we did some crawling also floating and we had some free time and me Johnny Nicholas were playing tag with the ball and Raj was playing and Raj was in most of the times well I did'nt get it that much so YEAH!

On the BEST WEEKEND

On the weekend I was playing a game on my Ipad 3 mini called terr aria and I so good because I had titanium Armour and I have a paladin's hammer legendary, piksaw legendary, a legendary horseman's sword,vampire knives rare and 10 banana thower's also 5 disc's. Me and my brother were in my world and we were trying to defeat the Ocram and we defeated it and I got a soul of blight and I got a greater healing potion also I got a cursed stuffing from a slime because I defeated it with my horseman's sword.When I clicked it and it spawned a Turkey and I defeated it with my brother and I got a never going healing potion and my brother duplicated it for me THE BEST ENDING EVER!!!!
YEAH!

Reading follow-up

                         

For this task I had to put in a simile, adverbs and adjectives also I was doing it alone but Mauriora did'nt help so I did all of it alone read the 'Thunbelina' to find the words for the simile, adjectives and for the adverbs.

On this task I did it with my friends Johnny, Mouriora and Braxton also we had to we work together and figer out what fairy tale we wanted to do also it was awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! because mouriora and Johnny also braxton bailed out on me so I did it alone.

My Weekend!

On the weekend my sister brang her friend over for a sleep over and it was loud I couldn't stand it but I had to just ignore it and me and my brother was playing on the X-box 360 kinect and I was the best. On the game and I was the best with the gun called HBR8 and ASM1 I was on uplink its where you have to get this ball in the red hole.  I got it in seven times in a row and then I died and on the game I was level 48 wha tekau ma waru is 48 in Maori YEAH!

MY Weekend

On the weekend I was helping my mum do the chores also my brother.  My sister doesn't do any chores in the house, so she just plays with her stuff.  So my brother and I always do the dishes, and then tomorrow we watched the rugby and the All Blacks WON YEAH!!!!!  Then I was playing on my X-box 360 kinect and my brother buyed a game and it was Goat simulator because of the video it was FUNNY :D :D :D :D

On the weekend I played on my ipad 3 mini and I played games on it after I read a book for 30 minutes and I then I was playing on it and I was playing PIXEL GUN 3D, Sling Kong, Blitz brigade, Asphalt 8 also I got some good things on my games and it is cool

My Reflection

For my reflection we had to think if it was fact or opinion and it was easy because you needed to read it and put the answer next to the question.

MY AWESOME DAY WHEN I GOT HOME!

When I got home I was watching my brother play on his Ipad and my mum and dad had a present for me and guess what I got ...... an IPAD mini 3 and I just started to play on it but I had to make my own apple ID and I made one and I downloaded PIXEL GUN 3D and that game so cool because you get to have cool as guns that are not real like a pet gragon and hydra also a future rifle its like so cool and im saving up for it and it cost 165 coins and I also want the prototype as well.

My Fact Finding in Non-Fiction Text

I liked doing this because I got to choose my own article and it was SeaWorld got banned beacause they were breeding Orcas and they didn't know they were not serpose to breed them.  My next step is to Make it even better than this or maybe different articles.

My Holiday

In the holidays I was playing on my X-BOX 360 kinect and I was playing Minecraft,Injustice,Motal kombat vs DC Universe, and then me and my brother said we want a new game and we got COD AW and me and my brother were like so excited to play so we played it and we got bored but then we got 2 more games that was GOW 2 and WD and with the GOW 2 it gave me 2 days for X-BOX live Gold and I started playing online on COD AW and then it ran out and then I saw free MULTIPLAYER for fweeeeeeee I dont see why noooooooooooot and I started to play Happy wars and then I played with my brother on COD AW and my level was 37 so XD XD so EPIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Term 2 Week 5

When I started singing this song I started getting better and better then I got it I started singing its kinda catchy and I sang in bed everywhere I go I sang I couldn't stop because its catchy and I've been singing it in my dream as well.

Term 2, Week 3

Mayor Len Brown came to our school.Then we  all started a Powhiri Caleb started it big and loud so everyone heard it and then the Teachers started doing speeches and we did not know what they were saying but only Len Brown and he also did a speech to the whole school then we sang 'EIAIE' and then they sang a song that was a kiwi song we didn't know what song it was called so we listened and we were wondering what was behind that cloth so Len Brown showed and that was the GREEN GOLD ENIVIRO SCHOOL CERTIFICATE.

Term 2 Week 2

Mine Field activity

Everyone in our class room was doing this activity that was called a Mine field game where the bad guys planted mines every where and only were given two hoops and two baseball mats. Then we had to figure out how to get to the end and it was very hard because some times we had to go back to the start that's why it was hard and some times my group had to go back to the start to as well and there were groups of 7 .  I was having fun that time and I was happy as well.

I was learning to read numbers up to one hundred thousand and say witch is bigger or smaller.

The thing that helped me most was using my basic facts to help me with bigger numbers and remembering to look at the left to see if the digit is bigger.

Plus using streets and houses to break up bigger numbers and practising on Mathletics.

I have been learning to write a recipe.

We read George's marvellous medicine and used this story to inspire us to create our own marvellous medicine.

I found writing a recipe  easy because it was up on the TV.

Term 1 Week 8

On Sunday the 22 of March 2015 I went on the field and I first tried the boot camp first then the biggest one and it was awesome then I wanted to smash the car and I was smashing it good and my friends said to smash it hard core and I was awesome hitting it but I pushed in line because I wanted to have a turn.

Interpreting Diagrams

I was learning how to interpret diagrams.  I had to look at the pictures and read the captions to understand.  It was easy to figure out the answers.  I had to go onto web sites to figure out two questions.

Term 1 Week 7

On Monday we did 100 word challenge and it was fun because we got to make it a creative story and that is cool how much words I did was 102 we had to share it to another person.  I had to share my one as well and I liked my one was AWESOME! to me.

Term 1 Week 6

On Tuesday we went to youth town and we played Rabbits and Rats and then after that we played bowling and we had to knock over the three wicket's and sometimes it was hard and my team was Nathan Carter and Annika and we did a competition and we lost heaps of times but it was still cool and then we played three step dodge ball and I was the ULTIMATE SURVIVOR!!!

Term 1 Week 5

On Tuesday we went to Youth town and we got into three groups and we were playing with Waka and we had to get a Buddie.  We were playing catches with a tennis ball and we were having fun plus we had a compation and also me and Daniel won and we were also playing this freeze game if he says "go" then we go if he says "run around" we don't but some of us did.  That was so awesome and I was so sweaty it was cool.

African praise poem

I have been learning to write an African praise poem.  I found this piece of work tricky because I didn't know what to do.  I'm not sure about the last bit because it was hard to look for people and think of a chorus. 

My next step is to keep on writing stories about myself.

Term 1 Week 4

Last week we went to Te Tuhi and we were walking down there and it was so hard! but we made it and Jeromy was helping us and he explaining it and we were doing tapa clof and I thought I did it wrong but I didn't and I was close and I was happy when I got out and we did excises and when we where out it was raining we had to call someone from elm park school then we got back.

My 2015 Welcome Post

Welcome to my Year 5  learning blog.  This year I am in room 28/29 and my teachers are Mrs Graham and Mrs Melville.  I enjoy doing maths because we did number talking where you have to get to number 23 and for the first time in 2015 I bet Jayden 4 times and lost to Johnny 4 times in a row.  This year I am looking forward to having a good start  in term 1.  I hope you will enjoy reading my blog and leave lots of feedback.
