African praise poem

                                                         My reflection 

I have been learning to write an African praise poem.  I found this piece of work tricky because I didn't know what to do.  I'm not sure about the last bit because it was hard to look for people and think of a chorus. 

My next step is to keep on writing stories about myself.

Term 1 Week 4

Last week we went to Te Tuhi and we were walking down there and it was so hard! but we made it and Jeromy was helping us and he explaining it and we were doing tapa clof and I thought I did it wrong but I didn't and I was close and I was happy when I got out and we did excises and when we where out it was raining we had to call someone from elm park school then we got back.

My 2015 Welcome Post

Welcome to my Year 5  learning blog.  This year I am in room 28/29 and my teachers are Mrs Graham and Mrs Melville.  I enjoy doing maths because we did number talking where you have to get to number 23 and for the first time in 2015 I bet Jayden 4 times and lost to Johnny 4 times in a row.  This year I am looking forward to having a good start  in term 1.  I hope you will enjoy reading my blog and leave lots of feedback.

My Reflection

I have been learning to relate to the characters in the text.

We have been reading George's Marvellous medicine.

I thought of some words to discribe  grandma from what I learnt about her in the story.

I found this tricky because some times I get it but some times I don't get it.

My next step is to write a paragraph discribing grandma using these words.

Identify different types of words.

My reflection

I have been learning to identify nouns, verbs and adjectives.

A noun is a person, thing or a place like our school thats a place and my name Ridwan thats a person and lastly a ball thats a thing.

My next step is to learn about nouns and I need to work even better than this one that I did today.

 

All about Insects

My Reflection

I found this work interesting because it was factual and it taught me a lot about insects and I learnt new things about it.

I would have liked to do more research about insects and come up with more ideas for my time to make a slide show about insects

The best part of this is going to the library to find books and learn about insects and what they normally do.

My next step is to come up with more ideas and practise skimming and scanning.Also continue reading more books.
